I'm a technician with years of experience in audio engineering, digital media and IT management, predominantly in theatre, live music and higher education.

My passion lies in all things live performance, with a bias in sound; I'm an ABTT-accredited theatre sound technician seeking hands-on experience in producing houses to further develop my technical skills..

TECHNICAL THEATRE / THEATRE SOUND
  • Significant experience in sound design, reinforcement (small- to mid-scale) and live mixing (digital / analogue desks), and QLab / SCS programming and operation
  • LX knowledge - theatre lighting rigging, focusing, plotting and operation (Eos / ZerOS); electrics and electronics troubleshooting and repair
  • Previous management and lead roles; budget, hires and rota management
  • Working knowledge of / certificates in: manual handling, working at height, first aid, fire marshalling, PAT, IOSH and H&S regs, counterweight flying, comms, etc.
  • Recording (mostly studio) and digital audio manipulation - proficiency in Adobe Audition; experience with many DAWs
  • Semi-professional live musician; music theory knowledge, score reading

 

DIGITAL MEDIA
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; experience with rest of Design CS / Production CS
  • Self-taught in graphic design, digital image manipulation, video editing / remuxing - training delivery on all of the above
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
  • ITIL-certified (v3 Service Management)
  • First/second-line support experience
  • Knowledge of various WCMSs, ADUC, and other backend management apps
  • Knowledge of web scripting languages
