I'm a technician with years of experience in audio engineering, digital media and IT management, predominantly in theatre, live music and higher education.


My passion lies in all things live performance, with a bias in sound; I'm an ABTT-accredited theatre sound technician seeking hands-on experience in producing houses to further develop my technical skills..

  • Significant experience in sound design, reinforcement (small- to mid-scale) and live mixing (analog and digital desks), and QLab / SCS programming and operation
  • LX knowledge - theatre lighting rigging, focusing, plotting and operation (ETC / zero88 desks); electrics and electronics troubleshooting and repair
  • Previous management and lead roles; training delivery on all of the above
  • Qualified first aider and fire marshall
  • Working knowledge of and certificates in: manual handling, working at height, PAT, IOSH, H&S regs, comms, etc.
  • Recording (mostly studio) and digital audio manipulation - proficiency in Adobe Audition; experience with many DAWs
  • Semi-professional live musician; music theory knowledge, score reading


  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; experience with rest of Design CS / Production CS
  • Self-taught in graphic design, digital image manipulation, video editing / remuxing - training delivery on all of the above
  • ITIL-certified (v3 Service Management)
  • First/second-line support experience
  • Knowledge of various WCMSs, ADUC, and other backend management apps
  • Knowledge of web scripting languages
  • Certified excellence in customer service
  • Skilled in communication, self-motivation, teamwork, and the MSOffice suite
  • Owner of the coveted full UK driving licence and my own vehicle; also van experience

I've been a part of full-time technical teams for several years now, and am enthused by any further opportunities to develop my skills and ways of working in theatre and events.


Technical Manager

The Mill at Sonning Theatre

Head of technical department in regional producing house; also chief LX, duty technician and LX/snd op for all shows. Management of permanent and casual technical staff. Management and maintenance of all technical equipment and systems, incl. lighting, audio and data infrastructure, comms and relays, PAT testing, etc. Sound design/engineering/operation for all productions and events.

Musician in semi-professional function and wedding band. Sound reinforcement and live mixing in small- to mid-scale venues. Management and maintenance of all audio equipment. Events management. Budget management. Design of public-facing promotional materials, both print and web media. Web and social media maintenance.
